WEATHER & HIGH-ALTITUDE PRECAUTIONS
Typical Laramie Weather in Early May:

  • Average High: 56°F (13°C)
  • Average Low: 32°F (0°C)
  • Average Precipitation: 1.52”

Altitude Considerations (7,165 feet / 2,184 meters above sea level):

  • Stay hydrated—drink twice as much water as usual due to the dry climate.
  • Limit alcohol intake—its effects are stronger at higher altitudes.
  • Adjust physical activity—if you normally run 10 miles, start with 6 miles.
  • Use sunscreen—there is 25% less protection from the sun’s rays at this elevation.
